A Volkswagen Owner Spotlight
Volkswagen has an incredible community of drivers who are passionate, driven, and forward-thinking. Through the Owner Spotlight Series, VW's Social Team identifies and celebrates these owners by telling their unique story in order to share the brand love of VW with our audience.
For this Owner Spotlight video, we featured Troy Rivers, a 3rd grade teacher from Atlanta, Georgia. As an avid VW fan,
Troy has a growing collection of VW vintage vehicles, including a ‘69 Baja Bug, ‘64 Beetle,‘67 Beetle (Murder Bug), and ‘70 Bus. In addition, he creates mini replicas of his Beetles for his son, Colt, to drive around in. Troy's story caught our attention because of his deep love for Volkswagen and how he connects that passion to every aspect of his life – from his marriage, to his children, and his students.

Being a teacher means helping students expand their horizons – For Troy, that means bridging his passion for VW with his passion for teaching. Troy uses his automotive know-how to help host the school’s robotics club. In years to come, he plans to continue to share his Volkswagen fervor with his students and son.
